Heritage Pacific’s Forest Ridge has been voted Australia’s best residential community at the 2008 Property Council of Australia Innovation and Excellence Awards held in Melbourne at the Crown Entertainment Complex on Saturday, 24 May 2008.

Coming up trumps in the category of Residential Developments, hundreds of industry professionals watched Forest Ridge achieve the accolade, at one of the most prestigious development awards in the country.

The awards, held each year, showcase outstanding examples of development projects that have resulted in building better communities.

Heritage Pacific, Managing Director Paul Barrett and Executive Chairman, David Roberts collected the Award on behalf of Forest Ridge.

Paul Barrett believes this award reinforces Heritage Pacific’s position as a leading Queensland environmental developer and certainly is recognition from our industry peers of the success of Forest Ridge as a much sought after address.

“Forest Ridge has been a flagship community for Heritage Pacific for more than 15 years and in that time we have welcomed nearly 1,700 families.”

“Our community encompasses an area of 335 hectares with approximately 1950 homes on completion and over 60 hectares dedicated to open space.”

“Our first block at Forest Ridge sold in 1993 for $41,000 and in 2007, Forest Ridge accounted for 45% of sales in Narangba and with land priced currently from $209,900 with price growth of 11.5% per year,” Mr Barrett said.

Forest Ridge is a masterplanned community in Narangba and is the premier parkland community on Brisbane’s northside. With 62 hectares of dedicated open space with 16 manicured parks, 16 kilometres of safe community walk and cycle trails, first class education including child care, primary and secondary schools, Narangba Valley Shopping Centre, an 18 hectare sports, recreation complex and tavern within a family friendly environment, Forest Ridge is a refined, spacious community with boundless facilities.

Since 1987, Heritage Pacific has welcomed more than 10,000 families to over 25 communities throughout South-East Queensland and has established one of the country’s fastest-growing home-building businesses. Heritage Pacific has also developed a portfolio of commercial and retail assets valued at more than $350 million and built an established funds management business.
